Portable Kitchen PK99740 / 99760 Cast Aluminum Charcoal Grill - - Rekindle an old flame with a brand-new Portable Kitchen® Cast Aluminum Charcoal Grill - - the best-cooking, most durable charcoal cooker ever made. Made in the USA. Also known as PK Grill.

Heavy cast aluminum construction reflects heat from all surfaces far better than cookers made from other materials and cooks food more evenly without constant turning or repositioning on the grill.

4 adjustable vents in the lid and dampers under the fire (2 top and 2 bottom) provide perfect temperature control for slow cooking without flare-ups from dripping fat. Cooking grate is raw steel.

Portable cooker smokes as well as grills. Once the lid is lowered, the food cooks evenly - - bathed in smoke for an unforgettable charcoal-fed hickory smoked flavor.

Hinged grid allows easy refueling without removing food. Side and bottom trays hold food and utensils. Oven detaches from carriage for cleaning, camping, and tailgating. Rolls easily on semi-pneumatic rubber wheels. Stainless steel hardware. Lasts for years without rusting.

HISTORICAL NOTE: These cookers are re-issues of a popular cooker sold in the 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s by Mr. Hilton Meigs. The current manufacturer was fortunate enough to retrieve an original Portable Kitchen® cooker at a garage sale and immediately recognized its value for people tired of rusted-out cheap charcoal grills and for people who don't like the flavor produced by propane cooking.

Cooking grid (made of nickel-plated steel) measures 14" x 21.5". Overall dimensions: 35.5"L x 20.25"W x 33.5"H; weighs 40 pounds. Assembles in about 15 minutes.

Completely made in USA. 5-year mfg. warranty.

Colors: classic silver and dark charcoal gray (almost black).

Also available below: Grill Cover and Cook More Grid which nearly doubles the cooking area of your Portable Kitchen.

  Excellent Grill,

We heard about this grill while living in Arkansas. There was an article in one of the local magazines describing the history of the grill. We thought it sounded wonderful and it was locally made so, when we moved to Texas, we ordered one.

This is the BEST grill we have ever owned. While it is small, it is plenty big enough to do a great job grilling for a group. When you close up the air ports, the coals go out quickly which is important to us as we live in an apartment building and must store the grill in our garage. The grill is easy to move and thefood is grilled to perfection with that really nice char on it which we have been unable to get using a gas grill. We are back to charcoal with this grill and so grateful they are continuing to make them. This will be a family treasure to hand down to our son! Or, maybe a Christmas present? Shhhh! As I said, we love this grill!
  Awesome grill,

My wife and I purchased a PK 5 years ago and love it. My daughters wedding is coming up so for a wedding gift we got one for her and her new husband to be. I know they will love it too.
The BEST charcoal grill you can buy,

I had two PK grills back in 1978 to 1985 and the only reason they are not with me today is no parts were available after everyone started buying the cheap stamped out round weber (disposable) grills and PK went out of business. This grill holds the heat and uses half the charcoal and cooks meats evenly.
I smoke turkeys, chickens and saugages on my PK by putting the coals at one end and the meat on the other end. Open the vent under the coals and over the meat and close the other two vents. Place a pan of water under the meat and don't open the lid when you close the grill. 1-2 chickens 1 1/2 to 2 hours, 10 lb turkey about 3 hrs (you will have to add a little more charcoal after 2 hrs). Cook a grocery store ham using this method(2 hrs) and everyone wil rave about it.
  Simply the best grill,

I inherited mine from my father, who bought it in 1965 for $19.95. I have replaced the charcoal bedgrill but its original other than that. Used it this July 4th and it's still the best grill for your money. Stay away from the steel grills that rust out. The aluminum will outlast me and I'm 56 years old!
  The best ever,

My Family was given one of these grills used 40 years ago. Far and away it is the best grill ever. It is not cheap but it will last and the desigen allows it ot be used as a smoke.... You could not get a better grill.
Ours is still great from 1962!,

My husbands parents got one of these in 1962 and we have inherited it. It is the MOST wonderful grill in the world. It has lasted longer than any other grill we've had and the food always seems to be better. The cart has long gone, and we have made a better one, but the grill itself is still going strong. Highly recommend this grill!!!
