This is the third Sunnex that I have owned. One is still operating and the other gave up the ghost after 15 years. The first two were halogen type.
This lamp works perfectly for my situation and I love all of its features. I opted for the LED version this time because of the heat given off by halogen and the fact that I am using it in a bedroom. It is VERY bright but that is OK with me since I use it for reading and only for a short time. I am not aware that a "warm" version of the lamp is available but that would likely be more suitable.
Comforthouse was great to deal with and very communicative when I forgot to include the Free Shipping code on my original order. The shipment was very well packed and arrived on time. I would do business with them again for sure.

I still read books. The paper kind. To do this comfortably, I need good light. Ive tried several lamps, over many years. Some are not bright enough, the light is hard to aim, the lamp has to be so close its in the way, its too hot, the linkage comes apart or slips. Nothing quite right.

Until I found the Sunnex reading lamps. For me, theyre perfect. Form follows function embodied. Brilliant light, but not too much. Simple, completely reliable gooseneck that holds the lamp just where I want it. The design style is modern in an unobtrusive way (well, to me, people differ about this kind of thing). Almost not there.

The lamp comes in a halogen version and a LED version. My first was a halogen lamp, which I liked for its warm, yellowish, bright light. Then I got a LED version, which produces a whiter, colder, more intense light. Ive come to prefer the LED lamp, perhaps because my eyes have gotten older and like the brighter light.

Ive been using these lamps for several years. I now have seven. Four at home, three at a mountain cabin. It keeps houseguests from fighting over them.

The Sunnex LS708-55RT Goose Neck LED Floor Lamp is perfect for my mother-in-law, whose macular degeneration has made it difficult for her to read. She uses the flexible goose neck to bring the bright, yet cool, LED light close to her book. She's happy that she's no longer restricted to
reading only large-type books--she can read regular books again.
