Caution Reptile on Premises Warning Sign, Reptile Warning Sign, Pittsburgh PA - - This is the caution sign that meets the requirements of a newly enacted regulation in the City of Pittsburgh directed at individuals who have venomous snakes, alligators, and other crocodilians in their homes. • On 12/3/2019 Pittsburgh City Code, Title Six. Article III. Chapter 639, was supplemented to regulate, set standards, and oversee the possession and transfer of Crocodilians** and Venomous Snakes and authorize enforcement and the imposition of penalties and fines for violations.
• Another stipulation in the new ordinance is that the main entry into any building housing crocodilians or venomous snakes must be clearly posted with a "Caution - Regulated Reptiles" warning sign.
• In addition, the entry to any room housing crocodilians or venomous snakes must be clearly posted with "Live Crocodilians Inside" or "Venomous Snakes Inside."
• Thus the regulations require at least two signs: one at the main entry and one at the actual room where the reptiles are kept. The ordinance does not specify a particular color for your signs, and we offer various colors.
• Penalties for noncompliance are steep and any person violating any provision of this Chapter may be fined three hundred dollars ($300.00) for each reptile plus costs just for the first offense.
