How do you cover the ugly area on your wall without spackling and painting when you change from a rectangular thermostat to a round one? I experienced this problem when I changed out my square shape Carrier thermostat with a smaller round Nest one. Therefore, I made this adhesive wall plate, cut to the needed dimensions, so that it goes over the space and covers old screw holes, old mollies, and old paint. Can also be used for other controls such as humidistats. Made in USA.

Note: For the Nest, I removed the thermostat and measured the diameter of the back and added fractionally more space so that the plate would be able to sit almost flush with it. If I had measured the opening from the front, it would have left some wall exposed behind it.
