Finally a dorm room bed size heated mattress pad! New from Sunbeam, this Twin XL electric mattress pad will keep you cozy and comfortable in your dorm. Fits a standard 39" x 80" dorm room bed.

Sunbeam heated mattress pads self-adjust based on room temperature, so you don't have to change your control setting as the room temperature changes. Silent solid state control is easy to operate and has 10 warmth settings and 10-hour auto-off.

50/50 polycotton top; 100% polyester bottom. UL listed. Machine wash and dry. Five-year mfg. warranty. Made in China.

Never use electric warming pads with infants, invalids, anyone who cannot operate the controls properly, persons insensitive to heat, or anyone who cannot understand the directions. Never use in combination with any other electric pads or blankets. Keep dogs, cats, and other pets away from electric warming pads.

Note: Twin XL is the same as Twin Extra Long. Some clients use this size on a Split King.

Product is as described. Fit an XL Twin perfectly. At first use seems to be well made. Adequate cordage to allow the control to be place on a night table, or on a hook on the bed or the wall. The heating pattern is even, with no hot spots. I would recommend to a friend.

I purchased 2 of these heated mattress pads for a King size split adjustable bed.
The electronic controllers have 10 heat setting ranges. There is also a preheat button, which can only be turned off by pressing the ON-OFF power switch to cycle power off. I've never let it finish a preheat cycle, as it gets too hot when your laying in the bed. This is intended as preheat one half hour or more before bedtime. The heat setting is controlled by an UP-DOWN buttons.
The major design flaw is the power cable connection, which is located right where your feet lay. There are sharp edges to the plastic connector, and they are felt through the fitted sheet. I don't understand why this was not placed down on the side of the pad. You can not rotate this to be under the pillow, as there are no heating elements under the pillow (this is for safety as they could over heat from the thermal insulation of a pillow), so this would leave your feet cold. It is the one irritating problem with this pad.
Otherwise a heat setting of 1 keeps me very warm, as well my wife.
The preheat buttons should work by toggle on, toggle off, not toggle on, and then pressing the off button to cancel. This is not a big issue other then reaching for the controller at night, which is back lighted when it is on, and easy enough to see the numbers.
I'm giving this 3 stars because you really notice the power plug every time you slide your feet across it, and it it located in the middle of the pad, about 5 inches from the end. And the connector is not a low profile.
The checkout was easy, and shipping reasonable, as well fast.

Terrible design. Plug is on top of the mattress cover. Kick it when you move your feet. Old mattress covers used to have plug on the side of the mattress cover and worked extremely well. Had to buy a new cover due to change in mattress size. Don't buy if you are taller than average. Would return in a second, but too much hassle trying to return from Canada.

Great for my sons dorm room as it gets very cold here in Vermont. Good quality the only thing that I would change which I did as to have the connecting chord and plug in under the pad . As college students are tall and his foot touches the plastic plug. Was an easy fix to undo the stitching and draw it to the underside and stitch it back up.

The pad works fine. However, the placement of the plug onto the pad interferes with sleeping. My feet easily touch it and it is uncomfortable. It should have been placed NOT on top of the mattress pad but on the front side of the mattress pad where ones foot cannot possibly touch it.

This electric heated mattress pad is very good! I really like the pre-heat option. You will stay nice and comfortable though the night. A little pricey for a Ex-Long twin but , overall I feel the quality was worth it. I would buy this brand again if I made another purchase in the near future.

We ordered with hesitation, concerned that the mattress pad was meant for a thin dorm mattress. Wrong. We had purchased a split king with 15" deep mattresses and the mattress pads fit just fine with room to spare. Great fit. Very pleased. They are also very comfortable. The only minor item is the heat number selection is hard to see. The light is quite dim. Not much of a problem. I highly recommend this product.

Looked all over to find a Twin XL size to fit hospital-like bed. This one was reasonably priced and works great. Christmas gift to my mom to ease fibromyalgia aches during night, which she says it does. She plans to use it year-round.

My husband has been ill of late and had an electric blanket, but it just did not seem to be what he needed. He wanted to go back to an electric heating pad and I found this one on line and purchased it. He is legally blind, but because the pads are different sizes, he can calculate the number he needs to use to be comfy. He is really pleased with my choice and the only thing we have an issue with is that the dial is too dark for him to read what number he chose and he cannot decide if he needs to increase or decrease the number. No matter - HE LOVES IT! He would definitely recommend it to our friends. I agree as it fits the XL mattress well and I can keep it tight when I make up his bed.

This mattress pad can't be beat for price, comfort and fit. The wires really are not uncomfortable as we have noticed in other pads. I have a dual king adjustable bed and it is difficult to find QUALITY bedding. Most twin XL is what you expect for a dorm, but we are senior citizens and highly recommend this pad.
