Soft Heat Waterproof Heated Mattress Pad is the electric mattress pad without bulky wires. A waterproof barrier and stain repellent Scotchgard finish protects against spills and accidents.

The SoftHeat waterproof mattress pad by Perfect Fit Industries operates with safe low voltage technology. It includes a power supply box that changes 120 volt AC current (normal household current in North America) into non-hazardous low voltage DC current (similar to a battery) to assure that the mattress pad never causes you an electric shock. Power supply box is approximately 8.625"L x 2.5"D x 3"H. The most convenient location for the box is normally on the floor close to the head of the bed. Correct placement of power supply box and bedside control unit.
  • All-over consistent warmth means you'll never have overheated or cold spots in your bed.
  • Smart preheat feature automatically prewarms to your dial setting in about 15 minutes.
  • Automatic shut off after 10 hours or if any abnormal heating occurs from inside or outside the mattress pad.
Lighted, simple-to-use controller has large, easy-to-read numbers and on/off switch. Settings range is LO, 1-9, HI. Silent, no-click operation; non-slip back. King size comes with two controls for two separate comfort levels.

With a low voltage warming pad, your bed will not feel hot to the touch. Low voltage warming pads produce enough heat to keep you warm and comfortable while you sleep. They are not designed to produce enough heat to make the bed hot. We suggest you spend several days experimenting with the settings until you find your personal comfort level.

233 thread count woven dobby stripe; 80/20 polycotton blend. Machine wash; tumble dry. Fits mattresses up to 18". Imported. Color: white. UL listed. 5-year mfg. warranty. King size 78" x 80". Perfect Fit FAQs.

Nothing beats a low voltage mattress pad. The heat is so soothing ,and you don't need to set it on high to feel warm.
  Better than an electric blanket,

LOVE our king size heated mattress pad! Dual controls allow my husband to keep his side ridiculously warm while I keep mine at low for a few minutes to make it cozy. Fits on the mattress and doesn't move around. The plug ins at the top end are so much more convenient than at the foot. Highly recommend this!

I bought my first SoftHeat Heated mattress pad over 10 years ago (and actually bought a second one a few years later for a college house), but that one finally failed. Actually, only my wife's side had a problem (the wires are attached to the lining on the underside, and that came lose, so there were no wires under her side of the bed, but it was really warm in the center where they all were). Anyway, I figured it was time to get a new one, and since our cat is now almost 15 years old, a waterproof pad sounded like a good idea.

My previous review was one of the first on this site on the non-waterproof pads, and almost all the complaints that I had about that one have been fixed. Models from 10+ years ago had mild transformer buzz. None of that exists here. The only complaint I still have is the plug at the top still bothers me occasionally, but my wife never notices it. The mattress plugs in at the head of the bed (top corners in King and Queen sizes), and if you lean your arm across it, you'll definitely notice it's there. I try to position if off the top of the bed, but it always works its way back up on to the bed surface (10+ years of experience). Small inconvenience. Just wish they had padded it better.

I can't convey how nice it is to get into a nice warm bed when it's cold out. Heated blankets just don't warm the bed as well, and you have to make them uncomfortably warm to get the same level of heat as with a warming pad, and you still have the cold bed whenever you move syndrome. I haven't had a reason to turn it up past 2, and my wife is once again warm and happy.

I will note one strange phenomenon with the warming pad. Anything placed on the blanket will create a hot spot on the pad. So, when you move the cat off the bed, be prepared for a very warm spot where they had been sleeping. Heavy blankets or comforters can do the same thing (although this is handy for warming up the foot of the bed for those with cold feet).

As an additional note, my 81-year old, perpetually cold, father-in-law moved in with us last year, and we got one of these for his bed too. He sometimes has trouble figuring out how to use things, but has had no trouble with this, and is quite comfortable set on 2 or 3 with just 2 light blankets on him (he didn't like sleeping with a heavy comforter). We also got the waterproof pad for his occasional accidents.
  Love it!,

Purchased this item because of the safety factor of the low wattage converter and waterproofness...have an elderly cat that sleeps on the bed and "accidents" are a worry. The mattress pad is top quality, fits easily over my thick mattress and snuggly warm on even the lowest setting. Delivery was as expected, website easy to use. Would highly recommend.
