  Love this seat SO much!,

We love the companion carseat! We recently took a long road trip and our dog slept comfortably and safely the whole time. It was such a relief to know he was safe and restrained while also being happy and able to look out the window. The standard fits great in the middle seat of our mini van between our two kids. Bonus that it also acts like a pillow for our kids!

I have tried several different booster seats for my Miniature Schnauzer. This one is sturdy, fits well in the seat, and has the most secure buckling (to the vehicle) system that I've found. My dog seems to feel more secure in this seat than she did in other models, partly (I think) because it is snug for her and partly because it doesn't slide around.

I purchased the single size for my Subaru Outback. I later purchased the double size for longer road trips, so that she had more room to lie down. The single size is not very large, but was large enough for her to lay down and prop her head on the edge.

The foam is very sturdy. It is quick and easy to remove or install, which was an advantage over other brands. It is pricey, but my dog is worth it. I felt like the less expensive brands had safety issues (or rigid frames that might cause injury), and she did not appear as comfortable in most of them. This seat is slightly smaller in height than other models, but it actually worked better for my pet. I was nervous about her being too high in the other models, and this one is perfect. The single size was narrow, which caused a gap between my dog and the window. I'm sure they do not recommend you let your dog feel the breeze in their face while using the seat, but that's what she likes. I simply got a sturdy foam back pillow from a medical store and put it between the seat and the door, which provided a perfect buffer.

The buckling system within the bed is nothing to rave about, but it does the job and I feel my dog is secure. The strap is adjustable, but my straps seem to not hold the adjustment. And she sometimes gets caught up in the extra length with first getting in the seat. It is fine once she is secured. That's really my only complaint, and nothing that would stop me from buying this seat.

The cover is removable and washable. But we have not had any need to clean it yet.

I cannot recommend this booster seat highly enough. Don't waste your time trying less expensive brands. You can't go wrong with the Animals Matter Companion Car Seat.
  Perfect for bucket seats,

I just bought a second \"Companion Car Seat 2X.\" I bought my first at a pet specialty store in 2008. It the ONLY pet riser seat that truly fits a sportscar\'s bucket seat. We use it in our roadsters, but only have one seat, and two roadsters. The price is exorbitant, but admittedly, my pets and my cars are worth every penny. The free shipping helped lock-in mu decision to purchase. Thank you for offering this AAA+ product when no one else does.

I have a 15# toy poodle. He seems to like the seat. He can see out the window when he is in the seat. He can lay down in a curled position, but cannot sprawl out if we were going to drive on a long trip. I would have to order the larger seat if we did that. The seat is made of a nice darker gray microfiber that's soft and comfortable. It is a firm (but soft) foam on the inside which is also comfortable. I had to purchase a harness for him to wear instead of his neck collar in case we stopped suddenly or he jumped out of the seat. So he is tethered to the seat via a ring on the back of the harness. The seat was easy to install and easy to take out. I usually keep it in the front passenger seat of my Honda Accord. It fits nicely. I'm very pleased with the car seat and would recommend it to a friend, but it is very expensive. It seems a bit too much for a dog seat. I don't think my daughter even paid that much for her baby seat.
  Love my carseats!,

I already own two standard carseats in charcoal for my papillon girls which I absolutely love! These stay in my husband's SUV so I just purchased a 2X in charcoal for my car for quick trips around town with the dogs. I love the height of the seats, the girls can look out the window both in the back and front seats. They have plenty of room to lay down in the standard and the 2X has enough room for both girls to get comfortable too. I highly recommend these carseats to anyone looking for a high quality sturdy booster carseat for their precious furry babies.
