Use your Kestrel® 1000 Pocket Wind Meter to determine current wind speed, maximum 3-second wind gust (since the meter was turned on), and average wind speed (since the meter was turned on) anywhere. Measure in knots, miles per hour, feet per minute, kilometers per hour, meters per second, and Beaufort force. No setup required: Just hold it up to measure wind speed. Large liquid crystal display is easy to read even in low light. Color is blue.

Use your Kestrel® 2000 Pocket Thermo Wind Meter to measure wind speed, temperature (in C and F degrees), and wind chill (in C and F degrees) anywhere. Measurement units are the same as for the Kestrel 1000. For temperature readings, the 2000 uses an external thermistor for fast response and accuracy to plus/minus 1 degree C. Automatically calculates wind chill with U.S. National Weather Service tables. Color is green.

The Kestrel® 3000 Pocket Weather Meter is the ONLY hand-held instrument for measuring wind speed, temperature, wind chill, relative humidity, heat index, and dew point temperature. The 3000 has all features & functions as described above for the 1000 and 2000 plus the following: Capacitive humidity sensor is factory calibrated to plus/minus 3 percent accuracy. Heat index measurements are accurate to plus/minus 3 percent. Dew point temperature is accurate to plus/minus 2 percent. Wind chill, heat stress index, and dew point temperature are automatically calculated from U.S. National Weather Service formulas. Color is red.

  • All meters measure wind speed with a precision ultralight impeller that turns on sapphire bearings, providing excellent accuracy (plus/minus 3 percent) and the ability to measure the slightest breeze (0.3 M/S). The impeller and protective housing pop out without tools for easy and inexpensive replacement so that the Kestrel's high accuracy can be maintained even if the impeller becomes damaged or worn.
  • All meters are built to withstand daily use in tough outdoor conditions. The slip-on hard case protects the impeller, buttons, and display from damage in your pocket or toolbox.
  • All meters are waterproof and float.
  • Measuring modes and display units can be changed at any time.
