Taylor 1491 Digital UV Monitor - - Use this digital UV monitor to keep track of your exposure to the sun's rays. Monitors exposure to harmful UVA and UVB rays. Use any time you are outdoors.

ABOUT THE UV BAR GRAPH: Developed by the National Weather Service (NWS) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the UV Index ranks ultraviolet radiation levels on a 1-11+ scale. The higher the UV Index, the stronger the sun's impact on exposure times and the greater the need to protect skin from the sun's rays. The UV bar graph on your monitor displays the current UV level.

Automatically computes and counts down recommended safe sun exposure times based on the SPF you are using and your skin type. Tells you when to apply more sunscreen.

Also displays time and temperature. Attach to your belt or clothing with the carabiner clip. Includes one CR2032 lithium battery.

A backyard shade sail or portable canopy (both shown in Related Products area at right) can help protect you from the sun's damaging rays.
