240 volt heated traction mat
|
HeatTrak 240 volt Traction Mat is a heated entrance mat that melts snow at a rate of 2" per hour. This electrically heated door mat is designed to prevent snow and ice accumulation around any entry door. Plugs into a 240 volt outlet.
Helps reduce the risk of slipping and falling as you enter and exit any home, office, or commercial building. Chevron pattern provides extra traction.
240 volt model is available in four sizes from 36" x 5' to 36" x 20'.
- HTM36-5B (36" x 5'); 240 volt; 420 watts; 1.8 amps; 33 pounds.
- HTM36-10B (36" x 10'); 240 volt; 887 watts; 3.7 amps; 66 pounds.
- HTM36-15 (36" x 15'); 240 volt; 1353 watts; 5.6 amps; 99 pounds.
- HTM36-20 (36" x 20'); 240 volt; 1820 watts; 7.6 amps; 132 pounds.
Heating element is sandwiched between two protective surfaces of non-slip rubber. Durable, non-slip, UV-protected rubber mat is engineered to be left outdoors for the entire winter. Can be secured to the ground or porch surface via the designed-in grommet holes and screws appropriate for the surface.
Operating cost depends on the size of the mat. However, on average each HeatTrak mat costs approximately 15 cents/hour to operate. Mat should be turned on when snow begins to fall or until all snow is melted. When turned on, the traction mat maintains an average temperature of 35 degrees F above the ambient temperature.
Safety considerations: HeatTrak heated mats have two built-in safety mechanisms: an equipment leakage circuit interrupter (ELCI) below the plug that instantly shuts off all power to the mat if it detects a current leakage of more than 27mA (which would be caused by a tear or cut in the mat) and a ground shield between the heating element and the rubber if the ELCI should fail to detect a breach.
Each mat has a 6' power cord on the lower right corner of the mat (or upper left corner if you rotate the mat).
Made in USA. 2-year mfg. warranty. Sorry, no gift wrap.
