IntelaVoice™ Voice Operated Lamp Dimmer incorporates 2 speech recognition technologies.
- Speaker Independent (dimmer) Mode is preprogrammed to recognize the command "computer" followed by "high," "medium," "low," or "off."
- Speaker Dependent (non-dimmer) Mode lets you program any word in any language to control on/off operation. For example, say "Merry Christmas" to turn holiday lights on/off.
Important Operational Notes: Because speech recognition technology relies on a clear voice sample, switch should be located away from speakers, televisions, stereos, or anything that might cause ambient noise. Switch should be located in an unobstructed area, clear of objects that can block the internal microphone. You must also speak above the background noise that the switch can "hear." It is sometimes necessary to have a few seconds of silence prior to issuing the first command.
