| Honeywell's Quiet Care HEPA air
cleaner is up to 30% quieter than other air cleaners of
similar performance.
Quiet Care has a 99.97% expected efficiency in removing all airborne particles
such as pollen, dust mite allergens, and tobacco smoke
particles from air passing through it.
Upright design, sound reducing insulation, 3 speed control, and electronic filter change indicator
that signals filter life used and when to replace filters. Recommended
for a 12' x 14' room, or 168 square feet, at 6 ACH (air changes per hour). 11" length x 16" high x 14" deep"; weighs 15 lbs. 5 year mfg. warranty.
Permanent HEPA filter is easy to clean; requires vacuuming twice a year. Carcoal prefilter (included; uses Honeywell filter 38002) typically have a 3 month lifespan. Please note: older models of 17000 do not have a permanent HEPA filter and use Honeywell 20500 Hepa filter. Replacement charcoal prefilters and HEPA filters are available from Comfort House for most Honeywell air cleaners.
QuietCare 17000 is a California certified air cleaning device. It is certified by the California Air Resources Board. To be certified, air cleaners must be tested for electrical safety and ozone emissions, and meet an ozone emission concentration limit of 0.050 parts per million.
