Enclume's largest pot rack, the 5' oval, is found in the kitchens of professional and serious cooks. (Click the small image above to see details!) Provides almost 12' of linear hanging space. Timeless design and durable construction. Comes with grid, 6 straight hooks, 18 angled hooks, and 2 extension hooks (5"). Mounts on 18" centers. Dimensions: 59.5"L x 20.5"W x 21"H**; weighs 48 pounds. (Does not include utensils & pots or chain.)
* * Ceiling rack heights are measured from the ceiling to the bottom of the pot hooks, which extend 2.5" below the rack. All racks come with ceiling screw hooks that mount securely to your ceiling joists or other solid wood.
Enclume™ cookware racks are made of .25" high carbon or stainless steel for strength and durability. Copper- and brass-plated finishes are not lacquered. Over time they will develop a patina or can remain bright with regular polishing using a non-abrasive cleaner. Maintenance guidelines and Allen wrench are included with assembly instructions.
INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS Your installed rack should hold the hanging weight of a 200-pound person.The installer must thread the ceiling screw hook into a wood joist. Molly bolts will not support the weight of the cookware and rack and should NEVER be used!
DETERMINING THE CORRECT HEIGHT Hold your arm in the air and reach for the cookware you will be hanging. You need to be able to maneuver the fixed hole in the cookware handle or side hook onto the pot hook. For cookware with floppy hanging rings, the rack height may need to be lowered a bit to accommodate this type of handle. For installation over an island, consider the size of the island in relation to the dimension of the rack and the possible need to reach both up and in to grasp the cookware. Subtract the height of the pot rack from the overall floor to ceiling height; that will tell you how far off the floor the bottom of the pot hook will be. From there you can determine how far down your cookware will hang. This is how you will know if the rack hangs too low or too high.
