Wireless Motion Drive Alert model WMA-3000 - - Don't be surprised by visitors, delivery vehicles, or intruders. Wireless Motion Drive Alert monitors driveway activity and sounds an alarm whenever a vehicle or person enters your driveway or protected area.
Radio-operated drive alert consists of 2 parts - - a transmitter (model WMT-3000) and a receiver (model WR-3000). Receiver can be located in your house and plugged into a standard wall outlet. Weatherproof outside transmitter should be located in the area of your driveway.
The transmitter sends out an invisible beam approximately 80'. Runs on a 9-volt battery that normally lasts 6 to 12 months. Up to four zones can be monitored with additional transmitters. The transmitters can be programmed so they each sound a different tone at the receiver.
If a vehicle or person enters this area, the motion-detecting transmitter will send a radio signal up to 3000' (actual range depends on the local terrain, temperature, and humidity) to the receiver in the house.
When the receiver gets a signal from the transmiiter, one of four different tones (classical, westminster chime, ding dong, or whistle) will sound for a few seconds. Volume control allows you to set the desired sound level.
- Transmitter can be mounted on a tree, post, building, etc. up to 80' from your driveway. Transmitter should be mounted about 3' off the ground so that small animals will not trigger it. Transmitter will detect large animals such as deer but is not bothered by the motion of trees and shrubs.
- Up to four transmitters can be used with the same receiver. For example, you may have two driveways, or you may want a transmitter to monitor the garage, shop, backyard, or even the house. Extra transmitters are available below.
- You can have different receivers in different locations of the house or in other buildings. Extra receivers are available below. An optional portable receiver is also available below.
- Operating range: -30 degrees F to 120 degrees F.

Editor's note: There are less expensive driveway alarm monitoring systems available, but you get what you pay for. However, model WMA-3000 is meant to be outside, whereas others may not be designed to handle the rigors of the outdoor environment.
