Room Conditioner installs just like a ceiling fan; uses the same three standard wires used to install a ceiling fan or a light fixture: a hot wire, a neutral wire, and a ground wire. Can be installed on 8' ceilings or vaulted ceilings. The support should be a UL approved ceiling fan support. See diagram above for installation specifications.
Five 54" diameter wooden ceiling fan blades (gold on one side and white on the other). Energy-efficient light kit provides 150 watts of illumination, powered by a single 30-watt fluorescent light circle. Light is covered by a marbled glass dome.
HOW IT WORKS: Room Conditioner draws air at a rate of 240 cubic feet per minute. Exit temperature is twice that of any home vent. Computerized remote and receiver controls how little energy it uses to achieve a desired temperature. Maintains even temperatures from floor to ceiling.
MOUNTING INFORMATION: This product is supplied with two types of hanging assemblies: (1) the standard installation using the downrod with ball and socket mounting and (2) the "close to ceiling" mounting. The "close to ceiling" mounting is recommended in rooms with less than 8' ceilings or in areas where additional space is desired from the floor to the room conditioner blades.
When using a standard downrod installation, the distance from the ceiling to the bottom of the room conditioner blades will be approximately 12". (An extra downrod is included that will increase this distance to 15".) The "close to ceiling" installation reduces the distance from the ceiling to the bottom of the room conditioner blades to approximately 9".
For independent remote operation of 2 Reiker Room Conditioners in the same room, the Room Conditioners must be hardwired separately.
