This air cleaner uses disposable filters (Vornado MD1-0015 available below; 2 filters are included with air cleaner purchase) that require neither cleaning nor direct contact, and need to be replaced just once or twice a year (no tools required). The change filter indicator light on the control panel will notify you when the filter should be changed.
